Our customized assessments assess where each student is RIGHT NOW across a wide range of sub-topics. Whether you are getting ready to take the SAT, need targeted support in academic subjects like Math, Science and English or need to understand how your Special Learner can best be supported, our diagnostics point you in the right direction to design the most effective learning plans for your child.
Our diagnostic tools provide our faculty and education team the data we need to design customized learning plans which efficiently address your child's specific deficits, challenge and extend their strengths and focus on the topics and areas they would most benefit from (while also saving time by not wasting valuable time on areas which won't help your child). We revisit these plans a MINIMUM of every 8 weeks to make sure your child's support is always targeting their specific needs in real time.
Supported by our education team, our dedicated faculty members will work with your child to develop the processes and frameworks needed to achieve their objectives. Your faculty members are never alone in helping your child succeed - all of our faculty members meet on a weekly basis to discuss EVERY student’s learning plan and check in with our global education support team at least twice every month to ensure they are using the most effective tools we have available.
You should always know WHAT we are doing with your child and WHY we are doing it. We have the most robust reporting processes in the industry to ensure you are properly informed. We regularly call all of our parents and provide extensive progress reports every semester which provide a great deal of detail and recommendations for each of our students. We are also always happy to meet with you to explain the progress we are seeing and areas of continued focus moving forward.
Hello! My name is Lauren Boranian. I graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, earning an A.B. in Linguistics with a minor in Music, and I wrote my senior thesis about the intersection of language and music in the brain. Before coming to Learning Efficiency, I worked with students of all ages in several different educational settings. At the San Francisco nonprofit, 826 Valencia, I helped to design and implement a creative writing curriculum for an elementary summer program. I also worked as a teaching assistant for the Head-Royce School Summer Program and the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir, facilitating classroom learning and rehearsal. Before joining Learning Efficiency’s California team, I worked as both an instructor and center director in Boston. At Learning Efficiency, I love using my creativity to help students learn. In my free time, I enjoy singing in choir, exploring San Francisco, making quilts, and cooking for my friends. I look forward to working with your family soon!
Greetings! My Name is Dezirae PeBenito, and I’m so pleased to be part of the Learning Efficiency team. I was born and raised in California and have been living in the greater Bay Area for the past 13 years. I received my B.S. in Plant Biology from the University of California, Davis. I worked in the Biotech and Agriculture industry for 8 years with various organizations such as Robert Mondavi Winery and DuPont Pioneer. Though I attended a graduate program for Sustainable Development in 2014 at the University of Leipzig, Germany, I chose to leave the program to work on what I have come to realize is true sustainable development: youth development. Since leaving that program, I have had the privilege of spending most of my working life prioritizing kids and teens. I have work with a wide range of students in various capacities, such as tutoring math and science at Aspire Education and ClubZ, leading Oakland Leaf’s STEAM and SEL Art and Performance program, creating curriculum as Curriculum Director for Oakland Youth Aspire, and mentoring girls with Gaia Girls. When I am not at Learning Efficiency, I spend whatever time I can outdoors or traveling for art and writing residencies. I am a visual artist, poet and puppeteer, and my work focuses on personal and collective healing. I look forward to working with your family soon!
Hello! My name is Ellie Ahmadi. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.S. in Biopsychology. During my time in Santa Barbara, I worked as a mental health peer at Counseling and Psychological Services, where I provided students with peer advising on mental health issues and concerns and taught workshops on stress reduction and sleep hygiene. When I am not at Learning Efficiency, I am working as a research assistant at the University of California, San Francisco, where I help conduct research on alternative treatments for various psychiatric disorders. I am passionate about finding creative ways for students to achieve success and feel prepared to take on new challenges. In my free time, I love hiking, practicing yoga, and checking out record shops all over the city. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
Zdravo! Guten Tag! Bon jour! Hello! My name is Adela Čajić, and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the Learning Efficiency Team! I am a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology and a minor in German Studies. My area of concentration within Human Biology was Language & Learning which allowed me to delve into the foundations of learning from many different perspectives: neurological, psychological, and linguistic just to name a few. Outside the classroom, I have a serious case of wanderlust. I love to travel, learn new languages, and share what I’ve learned with others! I speak Bosnian, German, and French and hope to learn even more one day. I am elated for the opportunity to apply what I learned from all these experiences to helping kids expand their own educations!
